Certified Health and Wellness Coach
Family Nurse Practitioner
I grew up in Southern California and ventured to the east coast to attend Georgetown University, where I studied psychology and pre-medicine.
Young and interested in many things, I had a hard time figuring out what kind of career I wanted to pursue. By working in different healthcare and social service settings, I stumbled upon the role of nurse practitioners in health promotion, illness prevention, relationship building, and education. I felt energized by a career that combined my social nature, fascination with how the body and mind work together, and an opportunity to learn from and help others.
I packed up my little car with all of my belongings and drove across the country to complete my Master’s in Nursing at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Itching for more adventure, I headed West after graduating to work in primary care clinics and eventually in the emergency room.
It is hard to believe I have been a nurse for 27 years; but, helping people grow and be the best version of themselves through education, discovery of strengths and talents, and support is what I love.
This passion has challenged me to embrace the unknown, listen to my inner leadings and embark on a new path as a certified health and wellness coach.
